Money Transfer to Turkey

If you are looking to work in Turkey, you must apply for a work permit at least a month prior to arriving in the country. A job must already be in place for you and your employer must give you a written job description. where you are required to send a valid passport with a valid visa application and a letter from your employer.

Application forms require information about your:

  • Place of residence
  • Type of company you intend to work for and also
  • Information on that company.
  • Information about previous work experience, education and the nature of your assigned job
  • Any other relevant information

The employer will do most of the work, and submit all documents to the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Where work permits are usually issued for one year to three years, and can be renewed. Certain jobs require a specific application, i.e. for a teacher, jobs in the health sector and jobs in the entertainments sector. Some may need additional documents or letters of recommendation.

Student Visa

Foreigners who wish to study in Turkey are required to obtain a Turkish student visa. Applications must be to an embassy or consulate which is not in Turkey. First you must be accepted into a college or university and you must have documentation to prove it.
